today, made me felt the two extreme of different lifestyles.
read more and experience it with me justifying the statement above.
well, it goes like that, in the morning i've already have a date with ivor to have breakfast together. with his newly gotten license, he drove his dad's car to pick me up below my block and had some beakfast at a coffeshop near EV. afterwhich, he drove off to meet his girlfriend.
had some discussion about orientation with the sec 3s, but wasn't very productive as to say. in the end, was talking to teacher about the camp coming up next year.
was raining heavily, but nevertheless, ivor was there to pick me up again, sent those kids to s-11 and off we go meet up with kaili and went for lunch. we have all the time in the world to decide where to eat, in the car of course. settled with simpang bedok and some light snacks we got for ourselves. got ourselves some drinks and talk for some time despite the unpredictable rain that was ongoing. head back to the car and drop kaili at simei where he meet up his friend at sentosa. slack with ivor again at some carpark, in the car again with seat adjusted this time round and talk again.(sometimes, guys do have the same amount of things to talk and gossip about.). there and then, he dropped me at TM where he went to pick up charmaine.
wasn't that great. having the luxury to sit in a high-end car, to have the freedom to go almost everywhere we wanted to dine, to take out some time to do some unproductive yet relaxing conversations. isn't that what most of us wanted? well, here comes nightmare.
went to genki and there was no one in the restaurant. changed to semi uniform and make some sushi and learn some skills. i was posted as the dishwasher for the night as both aunties where not around. by looking at the crowd, i ASSUME that tonight will not be very busy and soiled plates will be ACCEPTABLE. i was wrong, very, till i start work at 6:30pm, there was already 3 buckets of plates for me to clear and the worst of all, the sink got choked! man, got to dig hard inside and pump out all the waste that the previous washer had created(i wonder who was it!). buckets after buckets i've washed, with a total of at least 15 buckets. buckets of unfinished food, drinks and tissues, terrible terrible situation. the stench of the leftover, the stains on my hands and the soaked up hands i've got just really make the situation worst. to add on to it, i had been standing there for hours, with my back arched, my spine was in a terrible, terrible state. washed till nearly 11pm, with the help of my two dear friends, ben toh and yanling, i was able to complete before 11pm.
this situation, no freedom to even drink a cup of coke,(which is my favourite), no freedom to walk around and chat, was bounded by the buckets and buckets of unwashed plates! man, nice day i had right?
compare the two situation i was in today, two total different scenes, two different environment, completely two different sides! i swore that i must strike rich and be able to have the first type of living, rather to slog so hard at the second scenario.
got a pretty nice hand towel form lactose and a nicely packaged famous amos cookies i've bought from dok hui for her some school projects.
tomorrow will be a packed to the max day for me, lessons, then tuiton for 2 kids and head back to school for lessons again till 8!!
to be continued. . .
